C.C.F.D.#3 Re-organization

At the last Commissioner Meeting held on December 15, the Commissioners
have approved the re-organization of Chief Officers in regards to the
Districts Organization Chain of Command Chart. As of January 1, 2010 the
District will eliminate the position of Assistant Chief of EMS/Safety when
Allan Knobbs retires. That position will be reclassified to a Medical/Safety
Officer of rank yet to be determined. The Commissioners and District
Chief have replaced the EMS/Safety Chief position with a Logistics/IT
Chief who will assist in planning and directing the operations and activities
of the District, responsible for procurement, testing, tracking, maintenance,
and general management of all District assets and property, and who will be
responsible for technology management and the District’s radio
communications. The Position has been offered to Captain Tony Hudson,
and Captain Hudson has accepted the position. The District Fire
Commissioners gave their approval of the change in the command structure
and Captains Hudson’s promotion at the December 1, 2009 Commissioner
meeting. On January 1, 2010 these changes and the promotion will take
effect. Our Congratulations to Tony Hudson as he has worked hard for this
promotion. We are excited to have him fill this role and position.
